The mission of the Allen ISD Advanced Academics program is to identify students with high academic potential in order to provide them access to rigorous instruction through advanced course work, robust learning experiences, and engaging enrichment programs, while nurturing healthy social and emotional development.

At the Lowery Freshman Center, students may experience advanced academic instruction through a variety of options-- including Gifted and Talented Services (GT), Advanced Courses (previously Pre-AP/IB), and Human Geography Advanced Placement (HGAP).  As a district, we have a long-standing tradition of providing all students access to rigorous coursework and challenging activities designed to provide them with the skills needed to succeed both in Allen ISD and beyond.
