Allen ISD Hosts Field Day for Everyone at Lowery Freshman Center

The Allen ISD Inclusion and Diversity Committee was proud to host the inaugural "Field Day for EveryONE" event on April 16th. This new event was designed to provide fun games and activities accessible to children of all skills and abilities. Games included 9 square, dart archery, bocce ball, mini golf, cornhole, and much more. More than 1,000 people showed up for this fun evening!

Thanks to the Credit Union of Texas (CUTX) for graciously serving up free hot dogs from their food truck!

The day was filled with a variety of activities that catered to all attendees, including face painting, giant Jenga, giant Connect 4, bowling, bocci ball, 9 square, soccer, archery, disc golf, dancing, and more. These activities ensured that every participant had the opportunity to engage in fun and interactive games.

Local businesses and organizations such as Eagle Creations, Lifepath Systems, Allen Special Olympics Delegation, Texas Workforce Solutions, and the H&T Adaptive Driving Program participated as vendors, providing information and services that enriched the experience for attendees.

Allen ISD extends its heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers, sponsors, vendors, staff, and community members who contributed to the success of this event. The event's developers especially want to thank Nancy Rutherford, Adaptive PE Specialist, for serving in an instrumental role in organizing and preparing for the "Field Day for EveryONE."<
