Allen ISD Employee Recognition: Honoring the Team Behind Professional Learning
The administrative assistants supporting Allen ISD’s Learner Services team were recently celebrated for their exceptional contributions to the district’s Culture of Excellence. Betty Helm, Gelana Todorovich, Sharon Reiter, Gloria Duron-Deese, Celeste Karasick-Jimenez, and Kathryn Mabe were instrumental in the success of this year’s professional development programs, which continue to shape the growth of educators and, ultimately, students.
"As soon as you walk in, you can feel the energy from the decorations and welcoming tables—it gets you excited to be here early in the morning,” said Macy Bittick, a 4th-grade teacher at Boon Elementary. “The perfect theming creates a fun, inspiring atmosphere that sparks ideas for our own classrooms."
Their contributions extended far beyond aesthetics. This team ensured that each professional development session ran seamlessly through precise organization and attention to detail, allowing educators to focus fully on impactful, strategic learning experiences.
We sincerely thank Betty, Gelana, Sharon, Gloria, Celeste, and Kathryn for their dedication. Their commitment to making professional learning smooth and effective is deeply valued, and their work is vital to supporting both educators and students across Allen ISD.

Also recognized were the many volunteers who made the 2024 Convocation Ceremony a success. This event, where all Allen ISD staff members gather, requires significant coordination, and their efforts ensured it ran smoothly.
Thank you to these staff members for ensuring a smoothly run convocation!
