Peer Assistance & Leadership (PAL)

The Peer Assistance and Leadership (PAL) class trains students in the skills they need to help other students, both at Ford Middle School and the Elementary schools, with academic and/or personal challenges.  PAL is a service-oriented organization focused on both school and community.  The students conduct mediation and mentoring programs throughout the year in order to foster meaningful relationships and promote citizenship.  This class is a full-year course and is made up of 8th-grade students who are selected by an application, teacher recommendations and a panel that interviews applicants.
